Dr. Dani Chesson

Biography
Part designer, part business leader, part scholar-practitioner, Dr. Dani Chesson helps organizations understand and build the capabilities they need to stay relevant in today’s constantly evolving world. Throughout her career, Dani has taken a design perspective to create human-centered organizations that are responsive to emerging market needs. Dani is a former Vice President at Bank of America where her work focused on developing capabilities for service design, design thinking, and leading change. Prior to her role at Bank of America, Dani held consulting roles at Carlisle & Gallagher Consulting, Sherpa LLC, and HSBC. As a consultant, Dani led global teams in delivering operational innovation, product design, and large-scale transformational change.
Dani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communications with a focus on graphic design. She holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Organization Development from Queens University of Charlotte where her research focused on how designers approach problem solving. As part of her graduate work, Dani also completed a Certificate in Executive Coaching and has served as a coach to Fortune 50 executives. She is accredited in the DISC Value Index and is a trained facilitator of the Immunity to Change process. In 2017, Dani earned her PhD in Leadership and Organizational Change from Antioch University where her research involved developing Chesson’s DESIGN THINKER PROFILE – an assessment for measuring design thinking capabilities.
